This week, I was continuously reminded that the simplest approaches are often the most effective.
One of my mentors was talking about how she went into a Facebook group she'd joined a few months back and searched for questions related to her topic of expertise.
Then went on to provide valuable responses as though she had been paid to do so, expecting nothing in return.
You know what happened next? Within the week, dozens had joined her $7 program, and one even signed up for her premium coaching program.
Now i am not saying that this will the case for you right away. But people will always check you out and if they like what they see, who knows what that could lead to?
See, we’re all drawn to the latest and greatest, constantly chasing the next new new. It’s all very appealing, especially where there is a promise of saving time.
As a busy mom, I’m always on the lookout for tools that can streamline my day and free up some time, so I get it. We all desire the best results with the least risk and in the shortest time possible.
However, in the early stages of any business, complexity and overwhelm offer minimal leverage.
If you’re doing business on social media (Facebook is my preferred platform), a simple straightforward daily action plan looks like this:
- Add people to your circle daily by sending 5, 10, or 20 friend requests.
- Engage with other people's content—on your feed, in groups, etc.
- Post content consistently (1, 2, or 3 posts a week, doesn't matter).
- Nurture your audience with content and direct message (DM) conversations.
Zero tech involved, zero cash outflow, zero overwhelm!
This simple (not always easy) process generates thousands of dollars daily for many solopreneurs.
Yet, many still hesitate to use this strategy to get their business off the ground.
It’s often seen as boring or unglamorous, and sometimes we simply don’t "feel" like doing it. But it works. It’s boring because it works!
If you feel you’ve fallen off track in your business—struggling to get leads and clients daily—I encourage you to return to the basics and implement these strategies ruthlessly.
Plan to follow through daily without fail for the next 30 days, say the whole month of May. You will observe a significant shift and much better results in your business.
Thereafter we can scale, automate, and explore all the fun stuff.
This process works the same across various platforms, whether you’re using Instagram, podcasts, YouTube, LinkedIn, or others.
It’s more about the concept than the platform. Simplicity scales, complexity does not."
